The grant board begins this week to review and award the Community Hub grants. A lot of work was put into our bid and it will make a very positive impact if we are successful.
Successful FUN QUIZ night
Friday, February 28th. Winners were the Swimmers from St. Cross. Packed night. Much laughter. Sudden quiet - 'When was the sat nav included in the driving test?' (Answer was 2017.) Did anyone actually know?
Thanks everyone who came to the Bingo night on Friday, February 14th. Cold outside but nice and warm in the hall. Another fun night. Why not come and join us at the next Bingo night on March 14th?
Grant applicationOur 'Community Hub' grant application has been submitted to East Suffolk. This includes solar power, kitchen facilities, broadband, projector/screen facilities, and restoration of the floor. Hopefully, we will be successful.
Open MeetingThank you everyone who attended the Open Meeting on December 2nd. It was very positive and really worth while. A lot of valuable input. We should know around mid-March whether our bid is sucessful.
Christmas LunchOver 70 people attended the annual Christmas Sunday Lunch on December 8th. Everyone involved helped to create a lovely meal including turkey and all the trimmings - despite waking up to find that once again, no electric in the village! And a nice surprise when Father Christmas dropped in.
